Harbor

Releases

What shipped, and when.

Every Harbor release on every platform, newest first. Harbor's apps update on their own schedules — the Mac App Store waits on review, the Web Clipper waits on four of them — so the version numbers here rarely line up, and that's on purpose.

    • Web clips now look like the real page — cards, colors, buttons and pictures — instead of flat text.
    • Web clips are read-only, marked with a Web Clip badge, and can be turned into an ordinary note.
    • Copy text copies a web clip’s words in one go.
    • A new find bar in every note, and the words you searched for are highlighted when you open a search result.
  1. Harbor for Windows

    0.2.19

    A clearer sidebar

    • Sidebar — the row you are on is the one that lights up
    • Whole row — click anywhere on a sidebar row
    • Reminders — pick a time on the due day
    • Web clips now look like the real page — cards, colors, buttons and pictures — instead of flat text.
    • Web clips are read-only, marked with a Web Clip badge, and can be turned into an ordinary note.
    • Copy text copies a web clip’s words in one go.
    • A new find bar in every note, and the words you searched for are highlighted when you open a search result.
  2. Harbor for Windows

    0.2.18

    Videos in your notes

    • YouTube — paste a link and it plays right in the note
    • Fullscreen — a video now fills your whole screen
    • Offline — attachments say when they will be back
  3. Harbor for Android

    1.0.23

Web clips now look like the real web page — pictures, layout and links — instead of flat text.

Open a note from a search and the Find bar is already open with your search words, so you can step through every match. The keyboard stays down until you tap the Find bar.

    • YouTube videos in a note. Add a YouTube link and play the video right in the note, or show it as a link.
    • Editing a note no longer drops settings on embedded content, such as its size and alignment.
  4. Harbor for the web

    1.0.53

Web clips look like the page you clipped. Clipped pages keep their spacing, grids, rounded buttons and shadows, and keep their headers, menus and buttons instead of flattening them to plain text.

YouTube videos play in the Mac and iPhone/iPad apps. Harbor now gives the native editors a player page that YouTube accepts, so embedded videos stop showing a player error.

  5. Harbor for the web

    1.0.52

    • Web clips no longer show a second scrollbar inside the page. This is fixed in the app and on shared links.
  6. A catch-up release — everything that landed since 1.0.38.

    Web clips

    • Web clips look like the real page — cards, colors, buttons and pictures — instead of flat text. A page wider than the window shrinks to fit.
    • Web clips are read-only and carry a Web Clip badge, so a stray keystroke can no longer flatten one. Convert to Note turns a clip into an ordinary note you can edit.
    • Copy text copies a clip’s words in one click.

    Finding things

    • A real find bar in every note (⌘F), and the words you searched for are highlighted when you open a search result.
    • Searching inside PDFs and scanned images works offline, too.

    Notes and the editor

    • Photos taken in HEIC format now show correctly in your notes.
    • The note body no longer slides sideways, and a long link to another note can no longer stretch the page.
    • The note-link picker shows notes from the workspace you are in.
    • A file that is too large, or a type Harbor can’t store, is turned away when you pick it — instead of an upload that retried forever.

    Tasks

    • Checking off a task shows its strike-through and fade again before it leaves the list.

    Updates

    • Macs on macOS 15 are offered direct-download updates again.
  7. Harbor for the web

    1.0.51

Suggest title works on photos. A note that holds only a photo — a repair, a receipt with no readable text, a plant — can now get a title from what the picture shows. Notes with typed text, a recording, or readable text in an image are titled exactly as before.
  8. Harbor for Windows

    0.2.17

    Clips and find, sharper

    • Web clips — a saved page now looks like the real page, not flat text
    • Find in note — new Match case and Match whole word switches
    • Search results — opening one highlights the words you searched for
  9. Harbor for Android

    1.0.22

Search now finds words inside your PDFs and scanned images, even with no signal. Open a result and the words are marked right on the page.

New: Find in note. Open a note, tap the ⋯ menu (or press Ctrl+F) and search that note — step through every match, including ones tucked inside a collapsed section.

Opening a note from a search now highlights what you searched for, instead of only scrolling to it.

  10. Full-page clips now scroll the page first, so pictures and stories that only load as you scroll are in the clip. Full-page clips keep the page’s footer and menus. The clipper panel opens ready to use the first time, instead of sometimes sitting on “Loading…”. The notebook list loads the same way. The toolbar button is greyed out on pages Harbor cannot clip, and Harbor explains why when it opens Settings instead.
  11. Harbor for the web

    1.0.50

Pasting a screenshot adds one picture, not two. If you pasted a screenshot into a note — especially with a capture tool like ShareX on Windows — it could land twice. It now lands once.

Web clips have a safety net. If a clipped page ever gets flattened into a plain note, the original is saved to the note’s history first, so you can bring it back. This now covers clips imported from Evernote, which it didn’t before.

    • You can now search the text inside your PDFs and scanned images — and it works offline.
    • Press and hold selects text in a note again. Reordering a list item moves to a small grip handle, so it no longer gets in the way.
  12. Harbor for the web

    1.0.49

YouTube videos play in your notes

    • Paste a link, press play — A YouTube link on its own line becomes a player, with the video's title and a preview image.
    • The preview comes from Harbor — Opening a note tells YouTube nothing. Nothing is requested from them until you press play.
    • Player or Link — Switch any video between the two from the frame itself.
  13. Harbor for the web

    1.0.48

    Reminders arrive on time

    • Within a minute of the time you set — A reminder set for 9:00 now goes out at 9:00. Before this it could be up to five minutes late.
  14. Harbor for Android

    1.0.21

The Tasks widget now scrolls. If you have more open tasks than fit on the widget, swipe the list to see the rest. Check a task off or tap it to open it, same as before.
