Harbor

Is there a teacher discount?

Yes. Harbor Unlimited is $35 a year if you teach, instead of $99 — and it’s good for five years, not one. Same Harbor as everyone else gets: every app, unlimited notes and devices, OCR search inside your PDFs and photos, encryption, the Web Clipper, the API and CLI.

Teachers get the longer run on purpose. You’re not passing through for a couple of semesters. Lesson plans, the handouts you rewrote three times, the folder of what actually worked last year — that’s a decade-long archive, and it deserves a decade-long price.

How to get it

Email help@harbor.my from your school email address and tell us where you teach. That’s the whole process. A real person reads it and writes back with a coupon code.

Two things worth knowing:

  • Your Harbor account doesn’t have to use your school address. Use whatever email you want to keep long term — a personal one is the smarter move, because district addresses go away when you change schools, and your notes shouldn’t. We only need the school address on the message you send us.
  • No school email? Email us anyway and tell us the situation. We are not running a verification department.

Once you have the code, redeem it in the web app at app.harbor.myhere’s exactly where the coupon box hides. Coupons can’t be entered in the App Store or Google Play versions (Apple’s and Google’s rule, not ours), so subscribe on the web first, then sign in on your other devices. They’ll already be Unlimited.

Who counts as a teacher

If a school pays you, you count. K–12, university, community college, trade school, preschool. Full-time, part-time, adjunct, substitute. Librarians, aides, counselors, coaches, TAs, office staff — we are not going to litigate a job title.

Homeschooling parents, private tutors, and anyone teaching outside a traditional school: email us and tell us what you do. The answer is almost always yes.

How long it lasts

Five years, then it rolls onto the regular annual price.

Still teaching in 2031? Email us again and we’ll extend it — same address, same one-line email, no new paperwork. Renewing a discount shouldn’t be harder than earning it was.

The pinky promise

All we ask is that you use Harbor at least a little bit for school. That’s the entire eligibility test, and it runs on the honor system.

What’s in the rest of your notebooks is genuinely none of our business. Unit plans and a fishing log. Grading rubrics and a running tally of your poker nights. Forty recipes, the remodel quotes, every stock you’re definitely-not-going-to-buy, and one staff meeting. Use it for whatever you like — we’re not auditing anybody’s notes, we can’t read the encrypted ones at all, and we’re not about to go rummaging through the rest.

If Harbor turns out not to be your place, the 30-day money-back guarantee covers the discounted price too.
