Delete Your Account and Data
You can delete your account and everything in it whenever you choose. It’s your data; leaving completely is always on the table.
How to delete your account
You can do it yourself, from any Harbor app or the web app — no email required, no waiting on us.
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Confirm with your password.
That removes your notes, notebooks, tags, tasks, attachments, and account data.
There’s a 30-day grace period — if you change your mind, sign back in during that window and your account comes back exactly as it was. After 30 days it’s gone for good.
Export first, if you want a copy
Deletion is permanent once the grace period ends, so if you want your notes, take them with you first. Harbor exports in open formats — ENEX, HTML, ZIP, or a full data export — from the web app at app.harbor.my.
A few things stated plainly
- Deletion is permanent after the grace period. We can’t restore it, so treat the export step as your safety net.
- It works even if you’re not paying. A lapsed, read-only account can still export and delete. Self-rescue is built in, deliberately — we never hold your notes hostage to a subscription.
- Encrypted notes go too — though those were never readable by us in the first place.
- No exit interview. No retention call, no “are you sure?” gauntlet designed to wear you down.
